This is my mother-in-law’s recipe for bread and butter pickles. I have fond memories of making this recipe with her. Before I met her, I’d only had bread and butter pickles from the grocery store and I wasn’t a big fan of them. This recipe changed everything for me. This is one of my favorites that I make every year.
A coworker gave me this recipe in 1991. I’ve tried other zucchini bread recipes, but this is the one I always go back to. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
I always look forward to the first shoots of rhubarb poking though the soil in the spring. I know winter is ending and soon I’ll be eating one of my favorite desserts…rhubarb cake! Yum!
